Google Unveils the Pixel C Tablet

After unveiling a new Pixel Chromebook back in March, Google has introduced its latest addition to the Pixel line-up: the Pixel C tablet.

The first Google tablet to be designed completely in-house, the 10.2-inch Pixel C comes powered by Android Marshmallow and is intended to take on the likes of Apple’s iPad Pro and Microsoft’s Surface tablets.

Like its aforementioned competitors, the Pixel C can be turned into what amounts to a low-end laptop thanks to the addition of a $149 USD Bluetooth smart keyboard while connections come via a USB-C port — the design can even share chargers with Google’s new Nexus smartphones. Under the hood is NVIDIA’s Tegra X1 for the tablet’s 308 PPI display.

Due out in time for the holidays, the Pixel C will retail for $499 USD with 32GB of storage while a 64GB version will go for $599 USD.
