BlackBerry PRIV

BlackBerry PRIV

Despite the predominance of touchscreen smartphones, BlackBerry is sticking to its guns, introducing yet another phone with a physical QWERTY keyboard.

Dubbed the PRIV, the latest Android-powered BlackBerry pairs a 5.4-inch dual-curved OLED display with a physical slide-out keyboard, 18MP dual-flash camera and a 3410 mAh battery.

On-board storage comes in the form of 32GB of Flash memory while a microSD card slot allows for expansion of up to 2TB. One of the biggest selling points here is the inclusion of BlackBerry’s own DTEK app — essentially a privacy dashboard that allows users to get an overview of their BlackBerry’s security and control individual app permissions as they relate to data and privacy.

The PRIV is due out November 6 and can be pre-ordered online now for $699 USD.
